here is the 1st one
what is the most amount of boost on a properly tune IX that can be reached ?
Also are the air/fuels just about the same as the older VIII's ? or can you get away with tuning a bit more aggressive on 91 pump ? (not sure what octane rating you guys at Vegas have available...

91 pump gas..
not just boost, but air/fuel as well.. I understand that you can run a leaner set up and make a lot more power! but where is the safety margin at ?
Specially with the Ix's since they have a different head due to the Mivec, will that allow room for a more aggressive set up?

On the IX many things are different in relation to tuning.

On pump gas we run 23 psi according to the gauge and typically they read a little high.  The tune can be more aggressive in regards to the AFR while still maintaining little to ZERO knock through the entire powerband.  Many times tuners will allow 5 counts of knock but the ECU is more sensitive to knock so even 1 count in the wrong place will cause 1 degree of timing to be pulled.  Less timing=Less Power

Right now the only very inconsistent piece of the puzzle is GASOLINE.  Many refineries are switching to a WINTER BLEND of gasoline and the added chemicals alter the knock resistance.  Be sure and go to a reputable fueling source and aftre you get tuned try to stay with that brand or even station.
